Coating Removal and Surface Prep
The first and most critical step in any floor coating is properly preparing the surface to accept the new coating system. This can involve removing existing coatings, adhesives, mastics and sealers to insure the new coating will have a good substrate to adhere to. Baillie Industries uses high performance grinders with dust vac’s that eliminate most the airborne dust and remove coatings and prep the surface. This method is very effective and much cleaner than using harsh chemicals that are very messy hard to clean up. After the surface has been ground and the pores of the concrete surface are open it is ready for the new coating.
