Cement Overlays
Cement Overlay systems are modified acrylic cements designed to be applied over existing concrete to protect it from deterioration normally associated with freeze/thaw, salts and other elements that cause concrete to deteriorate. The first step in resurfacing concrete with an overlay is removing existing coatings, repairing cracks if needed and properly abrading the surface to accept the new coating. The overlay system is then ready to be applied by hand toweling, gauge rake or spraying depending on the desired texture. The last step is to apply the top coat of sealer to protect the finish from salts, UV deterioration and staining. Baillie Industries offers stencil patterns, stamping, custom designs and can include your logo for the commercial applications. The cement overlay systems can be used in many applications such as pool decks, walk ways, patios, spa areas, driveways, basements and much more.
